My Story

I'm fundraising for JDRF for a number of reasons.

-To be honest, I missed out on the ballot. You got me there. My friend who is from Chicago like me but lives in London now got in and the FOMO was REAL!

-Diabetes is prevalent in my family. My grandparents, my dad, and many of my aunt and uncles have had to keep track of their blood sugar for years.

-My favorite baseball team is the Chicago Cubs and one of their hall of famers is Ron Santo. He battled diabetes his entire life, from having to have chocolate bars in the dugout when he was seeing double at the plate to having his legs amputated. He raised millions for JDRF and with the Cubs playing in June, raising money for JDRF only seemed right.

In my running career, I have run over 35 marathons and a similar amount in half marathons. Along the way, I have raised hundreds of dollars for charities like Salute Inc and Door County Habitat for Humanity.
