Tim Mountford's marathon fundraising for Scope
Tim Mountford
My Story
I used to work at Scope and I'm fundraising for them by running the London Marathon this year. They're the disability equality charity across in England and Wales working to provide practical information and emotional support when it's most needed, and to campaign for a fairer society.
There are 14.6 million disabled people in the UK. And the current cost of living crisis is putting their lives at risk as many struggle to pay for the extra costs of being disabled. Life costs an extra £583 a month on average if you're disabled.
The money you give to support my run will go towards ensuring disabled people get the support they need and are treated equally, and not as second class citizens. Around 40% of disabled people live in poverty, without the means to live a life with dignity. This inequality is simply wrong. Please sponsor me so together we can support disabled people to live the life they choose.
