My Story

So I was diagnosed HIV+ in December 2015. Some of you may know & some of you may not.

The day that the 2 nurses confirmed this was shattering for me. I was born & raised in South Africa. I watched a dear family employee (more like a family member) wither away from this disease in the late 1990's. His name was Sibosiso. He is a legend & my friend.

It took me a long, long time to accept and understand HIV in my life. I thank God for the amazing NHS doctors, consultants, nurses, therapists, receptionists, phlebotanists, counsellors and the amazing HIV charities that have helped me from day 1.

My greatest concern? What was my young son going to think of me? I'll tell you...he has been amazing. My parents have been amazing. My cousins have been amazing. My ex-wife. My brother & sister-in-law. My work colleagues. Just ALL super duper amazing.

This is why I run.  For me.  For you all.  For those HIV+ ones that are no longer with us.  For those HIV+ amigos beautifully alive & well today.

Please donate as much as you can?   Please tell your family & friends.   THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH & SEE YOU SUNDAY 23rd APRIL 2023 !
