My Story

For years I’ve said I’d never do it. It was shock enough in 2008 when I found myself (very much a non runner) running a half marathon to raise money for Mind, to honour a friend who had tragically taken her own life 5 months before, but so began a love/hate running relationship with running. Fast forward 15 years and I can honestly say I love running (though not 26.2 miles of it in one go), and it is good for my own mental health, and they do say never say never - so here I am once again raising money for a very worthy cause, both remembering she who set me off on this path and left us far too soon, as well as all those who have suffered and/or continue to suffer with the monsters of the mind, and the impacts they have.

Mental Health is an area I continue to feel passionately about. We all know someone who either is going through, or has been through, or knows someone who is going through or been through struggles with their mental health, and there is neither the support or funding out there to meet the needs for all.  Being able to raise money to help provide vital support will mean a lot to me, so if you are able to spare any money, whatever that may be (I completely understand that the cost of living crisis is real) it will be received most gratefully and every little really does help. Thank you xx
