My Story

What do you know about Sepsis? How do you get it? Do you know the warning signs? When is it too late...?

Most know broadly how dangerous cancer or a heart attack is, but many aren't aware of the dangers of sepsis, I know I certainly wasn't.

Earlier this year, we almost lost my Mum to Sepsis. I thought it was a rare and easily manageable event. Maybe that was my own ignorance, maybe not. What I can say is that it has rocked me how dangerous the reality of sepsis is. From innocuous beginnings, to subtle build-up, quickly ecalating to life threatening, and for those fortunate to survive, the heavy mental and physical toll of recovery.

If you read no further, then do yourself and your loved ones a great service and learn more, including the early warning signs - it could be the most important thing you ever do.

I'm fortunate to be running the London Marathon in 2023 and I'd appreciate a donation of any size for the critical need to increase awareness of this preventable but deadly illness. Even if you don't donate, please, please, please, educate yourself on the early warning signs of Sepsis.

All the best and thank you
