About us
Rooted in Christian, gospel values, St Elizabeth’s exists to offer vulnerable people individually designed education, care and support services that maximise their opportunities to “live life to the full”.
Based across 60 acres of beautiful countryside, St Elizabeth's is a national charity supporting children and young people with epilepsy and other complex medical conditions, the severity of which impacts upon their health, social, behaviour, learning and emotional development.
Over the past 120 years, St Elizabeth's has grown and developed to comprise a non-maintained Specialist School for both boarders and day students, a specialist Further Education College, Supported Living services, a comprehensive Day Opportunities programme for adult day clients and 24 hour health provision provided by specialist nurses and therapists.
It costs over £20 million a year to provide full educational, medical, therapeutic, leisure and home-care support for our children and young people.
We receive a degree of funding from Local Authorities to finance the essential costs of care, accommodation and education for individual service-users.
However, to ensure we can keep our services as up-to-date and our facilities of the highest quality as possible, we rely on the support of generous individuals, local groups, companies and trusts. Every year, we need to raise over £750,000.
St Elizabeth’s is so grateful for your support – you are helping to ensure that those we care for can live safe and happy lives.
