My Story

After crossing the finishing line for the Great North Run, I said never again will I run a half marathon… so in a moment of madness I have signed up to run the London Marathon to raise money for Wakefield Hospice!

Wakefield Hospice is committed to providing the highest level of symptom management and care for people who have advanced active, progressive and life-threatening illness.

The support and care that Wakefield Hospice provides is invaluable to both their patients and their families which included my family and my Mum before she passed away 13 years ago. I’m planning to use the memories of my Mum and knowing what the Hospice’s patients are going through and their strength to push me to the finish line!

If you can run a half marathon you can run a full marathon ... right? Well, we will soon see!
